Dubai Travel Info: Complete Dubai Tourist Visa Information

Visitors seeking entry to the United Arab Emirates; Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Umm Al- Quwain, Fujairah, and Ras Al Khaimah, must have obtained a prior visa unless they are eligible for Free Visa or Visa On arrival.

Visitors must have to hold a passport with a validity of at least 6 months while the Citizens of Member Nation of Gulf Cooperation Council need to show only the Government issued Identity Card.

The citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council member countries have the right to move/ vist freely within any of the states that comprise the United Arab Emirates.

(iii) In the case of the UK, only Britizen Citizens, British Overseas Territories Citizens, and British subjects with the certificate of entitlement to Right of Abode are eligible.


90 Days

The holders of the Passport issued by the following Countries are eligible for 90 Days Free Visit Visa. they are allocated the multiple Entry Visa for 90 Days with the validity of 6 months. The citizens of the European Countries(except the Republic of Ireland) from the following Countries are also eligible for Pre- Arranged Visit Visa in case of the full utilization of the 90 Days Visa on Arrival. Other countries are not allowed to get another visa within 6 months of obtaining a 90 Days Visa on Arrival.

180 Days

Holders of Mexican Passport are eligible for 180 Days Multiple Entry Visa on Arrival with the validity of 6 months from the date of issue.


Freedom of Movement

The citizens of member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council are eligible for Freedom of movement in the Emirates of Dubai as well as in the United Arab Emirates. They are not needed to present a passport, they can enter with an ID Card. Except for Bahrain, IDentity Card stamped with Article 17, Paragraph 2 is not acceptable.


Substitute Visas

The Indian Citizens holding valid Visa or Residents of the United States or Residents of the European Union are eligible for 14 Days Visa on Arrival.


Non-ordinary passport Holder

Along with the aforementioned countries who are eligible for Visa on arrival, or are Visa Exempt Country, the Nonordinary passport holder of the following countries are also eligible for Free visa or Visa on Arrival facility.

Transit Visa/ Pass

Travelers in transit to UAE on international airlines are eligible for 96 hours Transit Visa to enter UAE if the transit period is more than 8 hours. The transit pass for the first 48 hours is free of charge while for the full 96 hours is 50 AED. to obtain the transit pass, hotel booking is also mandatory. The nationals of Afghanistan, Iraq, Niger, Syria, Somalia, and Yemen are not eligible for this facility.


Airline Visas

Any travelers arriving in the UAE on Air Arabia, Air Astana, Fly Emirates, Etihad Airways, Air Baltic, Air Serbia, Fly Dubai, Turkish Airlines, or Indigo Airlines can also obtain the visa online through Airline.

All visas are valid to enter UAE for 60 Days from the date of issue except the 48 hours and 96 hours Visa is only valid for 30 days from the date of issue.


Required Documents

The following documents are required to apply for UAE Visa along with UAE Visa Application Form.

  • Color Photo( Passport size Photo of the applicant)
  • Color Copy of the Passport having validity of at least 3 months
  • Copy of Emirates ticket

The applicants of Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, and Pakistan are also required to present the national id card while applying for the Visa.
